Renovation of a Hotel in Mallorca

For the owners of this family-run hotel in Playa de Palma, Mallorca, the hotel was crying out for change. They wanted to redistribute the common areas, creating a more open space and redecorate the rooms.

In the lobby, the decision was made to remove the central walls and move the reception area to one of the sides. Furthermore, when designing these projects, we pay close attention to the business's operations and the client's needs to facilitate work. In this case, the reception area needed to be able to close to the public during certain hours and not be left open: the solution adopted was to create a sliding window, where when the reception area is open, the window remains decorative, but when closed, the reception area is completely enclosed.

All the natural pine wood furniture is custom-made. The coffee table is made of painted wrought iron and covered with terracotta ceramic tiles.

The stair landings and elevator walls are complemented by sand-colored ceramic tiles, which blend seamlessly with the hotel's decorative style.

Garau Petit Hotel

In the bedrooms, some of the old terrazzo flooring was salvaged and, once polished, left looking beautiful and new. The rooms were decorated in a Mediterranean style with very neutral colors, integrating the corporate color of Tile into the decorative details. The bedroom furniture was entirely custom-made and included wooden pieces from the island's furniture. For the closet, an open and comfortable solution was chosen so that a suitcase could be stored underneath.

The bathroom in the room has been completely renovated, equipping it with all the necessary elements and taking care of every detail.
