Converting a garage into a loft
A SECOND LIFE
Every space deserves to be seen and given a second chance, and that's what we did in this project. A garage that was previously used as a storage room was completely renovated, converting it into a home.
In a small space of just 30 square meters, the layout has been redesigned to create distinct, separate areas, while also giving special focus to the kitchen, the owner's passion.
The home was designed in a rustic style with touches of industrial design, playing with the use of natural materials, maintaining the sandstone walls typical of the area and making the most of every inch of the home through the design of custom-made wooden furniture with contemporary lines. These materials seek to harmonize with the landscape and surrounding environment.
THE KITCHEN AS A CENTRAL SPACE
The kitchen is finished in opal green, opting for a colorful kitchen that transports us back to nature and conveys calm and tranquility.
Green makes any kitchen look modern and contemporary, yet elegant. Combined with the wood and cream-colored countertop, this kitchen becomes the centerpiece of the home.
The kitchen divides the space between the living room and the bedroom, making it the central element. The bedroom is slightly separated by a glass wall, allowing for a separate space while providing light and spaciousness.
THE BEDROOM, LIKE A HOTEL ROOM
With limited space, the bedroom has become like a well-used hotel room.
Taking advantage of the unevenness of the wall, the custom-made wooden headboard was integrated with lighting, electricity, and bedside tables.
From here, you can access the utility area and the sink, two separate spaces accessible from the same bedroom. Inside the shower, the entrance to the old garage has been maintained, creating a bright window that makes you feel like you're outside.
As for colors, the combination of green and neutral tones prevails. Shades of sand, earth, and stone.
