Complete renovation of a penthouse in the center of Palma

A RENOVATED PENTHOUSE IN THE HEART OF PALMA WITH A MASCULINE SOUL AND MEDITERRANEAN ESSENCE

This penthouse in the center of Palma was crying out for a second life. With a bright layout and a terrace that connects with the city skyline, it was the perfect foundation for a comprehensive renovation with a contemporary feel. The goal was clear: to create a masculine, understated, and serene retreat, without sacrificing the warm charm of the Mediterranean.

A CALM PALETTE: WOOD, BLACK AND EARTH.

From the outset, the design focused on a minimalist aesthetic with urban appeal. Black appears subtly yet firmly in details such as Formani light fixtures, electrical components, and door handles. It is balanced by the warmth of natural oak—present in the interior woodwork—and a palette of earth tones that endows the home with sobriety and harmony.

LIVING ROOM IN A WARM AND FUNCTIONAL KEY

The heart of the home is a spacious open space that combines the living room, dining room, and kitchen, with distinct areas that flow into each other. In the living area, the spacious and cozy sofas and armchairs from Moradillo Sofás take center stage, accompanied by Treku coffee tables. Beneath the furniture, a Rols Carpets rug embraces the whole space, providing texture and warmth.

Facing the sofas, a custom-made bookcase frames the television and creates a corner for everyday relaxation.

To one side, a wine cabinet becomes a perfect space for a glass of wine and a good book.

The decorative cushions—from El Corte Inglés and Linatura —and the objects from Zara Home complete the look with a balanced blend of simplicity and style.

KITCHEN WITH ELEGANT SOUL

The kitchen was designed in dark walnut, with a Dekton countertop by Consentino City , with brown veining that brings movement and elegance. The hood is fully integrated, and in the background, a backlit display case frames the kitchen like a jewel. In the dining area, a large table and chairs in dark tones with two Marset lamps coexist with a sober sideboard crowned by a decorative piece by Natalia Zubizarreta for KA International that adds a signature touch.

LIGHTING AS A KEY POINT

In this project, lighting was one of the fundamental pillars of the design. It not only serves a technical function but also allows us to create warm atmospheres, highlight architectural details, and give personality to each space. From general lighting to decorative light fixtures, each element was carefully thought out to achieve balance and visual comfort. All this work was made possible thanks to the collaboration with the specialized studio World Light , whose advice was key to achieving versatile, functional, and emotionally connected lighting for the space.

BEDROOMS DESIGNED TO REST... AND LIVE

In the night area there are two double guest bedrooms and the master suite.

In one of them, custom-made furniture maximizes the space, with a large desk area perfect for working or writing. Floating tables, also in natural oak, reinforce the visual lightness. The other, simpler guest bedroom maintains the same aesthetic: neutral tones, natural textiles, and carefully selected decorative details.

In the master bedroom, the bed rests on an integrated headboard and is accompanied by pendant lights and reading lamps. A large rug adds texture, and the textiles play with stone and sand. The dressing room, made with custom-built IKEA cabinets, connects to the bedroom, which in turn connects to an en suite bathroom that maintains the same palette: dark walnut, clean lines, and a subdued atmosphere.

BATHROOMS THAT BREATHE CALM

The guest bathroom was completely redesigned. The old jacuzzi was removed to make way for a generously sized shower and a double-sink vanity, ideal for guests. Lighting, once again, plays a key role in creating a sense of spaciousness and warmth.

The master bathroom, ensuite to the master bedroom, has been kept in straight and sober lines.

A TERRACE TO LOOK AT PALMA FROM THE HEIGHTS

The icing on the cake is the terrace: an outdoor space transformed into a true open-air living room. A faux-wood porch with integrated lighting has been installed here, providing shade during the day and a warm atmosphere at dusk. The Kave Home furniture, with clean lines and fresh textiles, invites you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the island's privileged climate. The decorative details follow the same common theme: simplicity, warmth, and Mediterranean style.
